Personalities, we all have them!

We have had 2 days of rain, and then today was lovely. The rain days are warm, so it does not stop you getting out, but it was nice to be dry today 🙂

Yesterday we did a market shop,, and Luca. who loves watermelon, carried one home and has almost devoured the entire lot. We have noticed how much he is eating, more than Rich at the moment, he must be having another growth spurt, if this is any indication of the teen years we are in trouble 🙂

Our washing machine broke, thankfully Rich, ever the handy man, fixed it. He goggled it and sorted it out, I am always in total awe of how he can do that!!!!! We are a bit backlogged and our place does look like we have turned into a commercial laundry, but at least we are heading in the right direction now 🙂

We walked to the library today, to show Luca where it is, we also all wanted more books. The tall building to the right is the library, FULL of books, I know I have said this before, but it is a truly wonderful thing to have up here in the jungle!!!!!!

It is quite the walk from our place over an hour of up and down hills, needless to say we stopped at the CASEM on the way home for one of their delicious milkshakes!

Note Rich in the background, (orange shirt), catching the end of the Brazil and Belgium football game 🙂

Here are some photos of the CASEM….

The kids ,(and even adults), love climbing over those lifelike animals! Yes that is a beaver there Canadians! We are not sure of the story behind that, as far as we know they not native to Costa Rica, we are thinking an expat maybe????

Luca of course climbed the trees there…

and we encountered Capuchin monkeys, so so so cute!

After our milkshakes we walked into town to the farmers market to pick up supper, and made it home just in time to cook it 🙂

Pica came with us today…

she is exhausted and put herself to bed. We take her on such treks, only every few days, as she really needs a couple of days after to recoup. The jungle part is fine, it is the roads, other dogs and being in town that require her to concentrate so much, as here the dogs are all off leash and have to navigate things themselves, she is mentally done in after.

We are all tired after days like today, and go to bed very early. Luca tells us he has been having dreams. He told us about one he had last night, basically he and two friends, in a jungle, having an adventure.

Luca says his dreams are “wonderful” and he can actually “feel the bush he landed in”! 🙂 . The part that made Rich and I giggle, are the talking logs, they were apparently stretched across a cliff, and the one he and his mates jump off, said to them, “Personalities, we all have them!”, as they jumped off, landing in a small village somewhere 🙂

Luca woke up reciting the logs quote! I am sure an analyst would have something to say about that one!

It has officially been our, “quote of the day ” 🙂
