Father’s Day 2025

We celebrated Father’s Day with a brunch at Augustine’s on the Saturday. A farm cafe in Portobello – delicious!

AUGUSTINES OF CENTRAL

This was a Lemon recommendation and was a great one, we will be back! Thanks Lemon❤️

Then on the Sunday Luca made breakfast for everyone, (there was a house full), scrambled eggs and hash browns, one of his specialties, was on the menu 😋

Spring in full force. These daffodils and hyacinths give a cheerful welcome at our front door. First time of doing this and they are growing well.

The fence has proven to be done just in time; we need to get that grass seed in now for it to grow well over the next couple of months. These photos were taken pre staining, which is now complete. So happy with it and how it has really brought the property together.

The girls have gone into overdrive!! Rich found these two hauls hidden away. We know there is at least one other hidden place out there yet to find!

This was taken from the car as I drove down the drive. It still feels a little surreal we have got to this stage with the property. On the 6th of September it was 6 years since we moved in, and the transformation is almost complete. When we brought this property, we were told it was “unusable”, we disagreed, there were times that we did think we may have taken on too much, so glad we hung in there!!!

I got up very early the other morning just as the sun was rising and headed off with Pica, so beautiful, water like glass and not a soul around, bliss….

Luca has one more week of school, then holidays. The teachers are striking so it will not be for the whole week. We support the strike, teachers deserve better conditions and pay, let’s hope it works!

More later xx
