Hello! My name is Helen, I am a Kiwi, married to Rich, a Canadian.

Rich and I met climbing Machu Picchu in Peru. I was living in the UK at the time, and Rich in Manitoba, Canada. I had a job in Guernsey to get back to and so started our very long-distance relationship. Not easy but we made it work, and in hindsight it was a unique, but good way of really getting to know each other, as at that distance communication is vital 😊

Eventually I moved to Canada, and a few months later we got married in beautiful British Columbia where Rich is from. Two years later in rural Manitoba, our son Luca was born

Together with we are wanderers. We have always trod a path a little different to others, and continue to find our road leads us in directions that surprise even us.

I started this blog in May 2018, we were living in Newfoundland at the time, having moved there from Nova Scotia about a year previously. This blog has followed our journey from Newfoundland to Costa Rica to New Zealand. There are more moves to come as our lives change once again as Luca's schooling comes to an end.
